Poliquin Celebrates the Signing of the U.S. Constitution
WASHINGTON – Maine’s Second District Congressman, Bruce Poliquin, released the following statement in regards to Constitution day:
“On this day, our forefathers came together in Philadelphia to sign the final draft of the United States Constitution.
“Since then, this foundational document has been a beacon of democracy and freedom for Mainers and Americans around the world. I thank our members of the military, past and present, for answering the ultimate call of duty to protect and defend the Constitution – ensuring our special way of life.
“As Maine’s Second District Representative, I took an oath to uphold the Constitution and I accept that responsibility with great humility.”
